My Crazy Passion and How You Can Try It

So you know me as the fitness and clothing guy. But recently, I spent my whole month falling from the sky – on purpose!

Yeah, I got my skydiving license, and it’s been one of the most incredible journeys of my life.

People keep asking me “Why would you do that?” and “How can I try it?” So I figured I’d put everything here in one place – my story and your starter guide.

My Why: From Gym Rat to Sky Addict

Here’s the truth – I was getting comfortable. Great business, amazing clients, but that little voice in my head kept saying “what’s next?” I needed to practice what I preach about pushing limits.

The first time I jumped? Pure terror mixed with absolute wonder. But what hooked me wasn’t just the adrenaline – it was the mental game. At 13,000 feet, there’s no room for distraction. You’re 100% present. That focus has spilled over into everything I do now.

Thinking of Trying It? Here's the Real Deal

If you’re curious about skydiving, here’s exactly how it works from someone who just went through it:

For Most People: Start with a Tandem
This is where you’re strapped to an experienced instructor. It’s like a test drive – all the thrill with none of the responsibility. Perfect for seeing if you actually like it (most people do!).

If You Get Hooked: The AFF Program
This is the real training – Accelerated Freefall. You do ground school first (super important safety stuff), then work through 7 levels with instructors. Each jump builds your skills until you’re ready to fly solo.

The whole process takes about 25 jumps to get your license. It’s not cheap and it’s not easy, but man, is it worth it.

Let's Talk Money (The Part Nobody Likes)

I won’t sugarcoat it – skydiving is an investment. Here’s roughly what you’re looking at:
· Full license program: $4800-$5,000
· USPA membership: $98
· The license fee itself: About $43

Yeah, it’s a lot. But think of it like getting a personal training certification – you’re investing in a skill you’ll have for life.

The Rules That Keep Us Alive

Skydiving isn’t wild and crazy – it’s actually super structured. The rules are simple but non-
negotiable:

  1. Listen to your instructors (they know better than you)
  2. Watch your altitude (deploy too low and, well…)
  3. Check your gear (every single time)
  4. No showing off (especially close to the ground)

Ready to Take the Leap?

If you’re even a little bit curious, here’s my advice:

  1. Find a good dropzone using the USPA website
  2. Book a tandem jump – just try it!
  3. Get in shape – core strength helps more than you’d think
  4. Come with an open mind – be ready to learn and be humbled

This journey has changed how I approach everything – fitness, business, life. The confidence you get from facing that fear? Nothing compares.

Whether you just want to try one jump or get hooked like I did, I’m here to answer any questions. Shoot me a message on  Instagram – I love talking about this stuff!

Quick Reality Check: I’m sharing my experience, not giving professional instruction. Always train with certified instructors at a proper dropzone. Safety first, always!
